Power Safety and Instructions

This appliance is equipped with an Appliance Leakage Circuit
Interrupter (ALCI), a safety feature that renders JetSpa inoperable
under some abnormal conditions, such as immersion in water.

To make sure the ALCI is functioning properly,
perform the following test:

1. Plug in JetSpa and press the test button on the plug (See Figure 3).

2. Appliance will stop working. There will be an audible click and a

reset button will pop out.

3. To reset ALCI: Unit should be unplugged. Then push reset button in,

and reinsert plug into outlet.

4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return appliance to Homedics,

Inc. for examination and repair.

5. It is important that if immersion of the transformer of the ALCI

occurs, this unit be returned to Homedics. Do not try to reset.

6. Be sure to repeat test each time you use JetSpa to confirm ALCI is

operational. Should the appliance go off and the ALCI reset button
pops up during use, this could indicate a malfunction.

Instructions For Use:

1. Place JetSpa in the tub by using the installation instructions on

page 4.

2. With the unit securely placed in tub, place the ALCI power pack on

counter top or floor, (as far away from tub as possible so that it
cannot easily be pulled into tub).

3. Insert JetSpa plug into ALCI (See Figure 4).

4. Plug ALCI into 120V household outlet (See Figure 5).

5. Fill the bath tub with water to the line indicated on the unit.

6. Press the “on” button and set the control to the desired setting

(jet stream or bubbles).

CAUTION: If JetSpa falls into the tub during use do not panic. JetSpa
has been designed to withstand submersion for short periods of time
without danger. Remove unit from tub immediately and press off
button. Unplug ALCI power pack. Remove JetSpa from the water and
hold it over tub, rotating gently to remove excess water from housing.
When water is completely emptied from unit, reinstall JetSpa per
operating instructions.
