When the appliance is connected to a f ixed-gas system, the installation must conf orm with local codes, or in the 
absence of  local codes with the National Fuel Gas C  ode, A  NSZ  223.1/NFPA  54;  International Fuel Gas C  ode, 
Natural

 

Gas and Propane Installation C  ode, C  SA  B149.1;

 

or Propane Storage and H  andling C  ode, B149.2, as 

applicable.

The LP gas supply cylinder used must be:

1. C  onstructed and marked in accordance with the U.S. D  epartment of  Transportation (D  O  T) Specif ications f or

LP Gas C  ylinders, or the Standard f or C  ylinders, Spheres and Tubes f or Transportation of  D  angerous Goods

and C  ommission, C  A  N/C  SA  -B339  as applicable.

2. Prov  ided with a listed ov  erf ill prev  ention dev  ice.

3. Prov  ided with cylinder connection dev  ice compatible with the connection f or the appliance.

A  lways place the appliance on a f irm and lev  el surf ace.

Solid f uels shall not be burned in this gas appliance.
The appliance shall be used only outdoors in a well-v  entilated space and shall not be used in a building,

 

garage or any other enclosed area.

When in use, keep the appliance area clear with at least 48 in. (121.9 cm) on the sides and 72 in. (182.9 cm)

on top away f rom combustible materials, gasoline and other f lammable liq  uid and v  apors.
D  o not use the appliance under combustible surf aces. C  ertain items or materials, when stored under the 

 

appliance or nearby, will be subj ected to radiant heat and could be damaged. Inspect the hose assembly 

 

and burner prior to each use. If   there is ev  idence of   excessiv  e abrasion or wear, 

or if   the hose or burner is damaged, it must be replaced by an appropriate part f rom the manuf acturer. 

 

Inspect the gas connections of  the appliance prior to each use. D  o not operate the unit if  

there is a gas leak. H  av  e the appliance inspected annually by a q  ualif ied serv  ice person. 
The pressure regulator and hose assembly prov  ided with the appliance must be used. 

The replacement part must be the same as specif ied by the manuf acturer. To attach the LP gas

cylinder please ref er to the "  Gas C  onnection"   section on page 13 and perf orm the leak check on 
page 14.
