3.3.2. Motor
The motor consists of a stator and the motor shaft, to-
gether with the impeller assembly. The cable for the pow-
er supply is designed for the maximum mechanical perfor-
mance in accordance with the characteristics of the pump
or the rating plate. The cable entry points and the cable
itself are sealed so as to be impervious to the pressurised
water in the pumped medium. The bearings for the shaft
consist of robust, maintenance-free bearings, lubricated
for life.

3.3.3. Monitoring equipment
Automatic float switch (type …A)
Version with automatic float switch HOMA-Nivomatik,
AS-float, 10m connecting cable, switchgear and “Hand-
O-Auto” switch.
Temperature sensor
The pumps are fitted with a temperature sensor unit in
the motor windings. This switches the pump off if it over-
heats. Once the pump has cooled down, it automatically
switches on again.
Check on direction of rotation
In the case of single-phase motors, no check is necessary
since they always run in the correct direction.
Warning – turning impeller!
Do not touch the impeller when it is turning, and do
not reach into the pump chamber through the pres-
sure connection aperture!
Never reach inside the pump chamber or touch rota-
ting parts during operation. Before any maintenance
or repair works, switch off the machine and allow the
rotating parts to come to a complete stop!
3.3.4. Seal/seal housing
Sealing is achieved by means of three shaft sealing rings.
3.3.5. Pump housing
The pump housing is fitted with a pressure connection G
1 ½“IG.
3.3.6. Impeller
The impeller is attached to the motor shaft and is driven
by it. The impeller is an open multi-vane impeller.
