Creating Scanning Protocols
The Scanning option on the Controls screen allows you to create custom scanning
protocols, and edit or delete existing protocols.

To create a new scanning protocol

Touch
New
on the Controls Scanning screen to display the Edit Protocol Screen.

Touch (or click in) the Protocol Name field, and enter a name for your new protocol.

to add a film view to the protocol. Build the film view from left to right:
select a side, a view, and any modifiers.

Touch the proper Side selection:
Left

Right
, or
Both
(if cleavage view).

Touch to select the View. Note the two additional selections below the view area
for Partial View and Implant Present.

Touch to select any modifiers needed.
Note: As you build the film view, invalid selections are eliminated. For example if you
choose Both for the side, the view is set to CC and the modifier is set to CV. Valid
modifiers can be chained together as needed. Some modifiers (for example, M and S) are
added before the view designation, other modifiers (such as ID and TAN) are added after.

for each film view you wish to add to the scanning protocol.

To move a view, touch a view name in the list at left and then touch
Up
or
Down
.

To remove the view from the scanning protocol, touch a view name in the list at
left and then touch
Remove
.

To enter a study description, touch the
DICOM Study Description
field.
