7.3 Charging the battery
1. Make sure that the device is turned off.
2. Insert the power adapter plug in the charging port, then plug the power adapter
into the mains.
3. The indicator light will flash blue during charging.
4. When charging is completed, the indicator light will be lit continuously in
blue.
5. Disconnect the power adapter from the mains, then remove the power adapter
plug from the charging port.
Caution!
• The device is intended to be powered with a 18650 Li-Ion battery 3.7 V .
• This rechargeable battery is built into the device.
• Use only the recommended battery 3.7 V .
• Do not discard spent batteries in a rubbish bin, but in special containers
for spent batteries.
• Do not recharge batteries not designed for that purpose (non-rechargeable
batteries).
• Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
• Never expose the battery to direct heat sources, such as excessive sunlight,
heaters, fire.
• Danger of explosion! The battery must not be dismantled, put
into fire or short-circuited.
• When the device is not in use, always remove the battery. This will prevent
damage to the device in the event that electrolyte leaks from the battery.
• Remove a spent battery from the device immediately.
• Electrolyte may leak out of a spent battery and damage the device.
• If any acid from the battery comes into contact with your hands, rinse them
under running water. If any acid gets into your eyes, contact a doctor. Battery
acid can cause irritation or burns.
• If swallowed, a battery can cause death! Keep the battery away from
children and pets. Seek medical assistance immediately if a battery is
swallowed.
