• Use the type of batteries recommended for this device: AAA 1.5 V .
• Do not put used batteries in a rubbish bin, but in special containers for used
batteries.

Do not recharge batteries not designed for that purpose (non-
rechargeable batteries).
•
Do not short-circuit the terminals.
•
Never expose batteries to direct heat sources, such as excessive sun
light, heaters or fire.
•
Risk of explosion! Never disassemble or short-circuit batteries or
throw them into fire.
• Always remove the batteries before prolonged storage of the device to
prevent damage from possible electrolyte leak.
• Remove spent batteries from the device immediately.
• Spent batteries may leak, which may damage the device.
• If you touch acid from a battery, rinse your hands under running water. If any
acid gets into your eyes, contact a doctor. The acid contained in the battery
may cause irritation or burns.

Swallowing a battery may have fatal consequences! Keep batteries
away from children and pets. Seek medical assistance immediately if a
battery is swallowed.
7.2 Weighing
•
Place the scale on a level, stable and dry surface. In order to ensure a correct
reading, do not place the scale on a towel or any cloth.
• Press the
ON/OFF/TARE button (present, seen in the picture)
to turn on the
scale. After 2 seconds, the display will show “
0
”.
• You may start weighing.
•
Before you read the result, wait until the triangle icon is shown on the display. It
means the measurement is finished.
• The current unit of the weight reading is shown on the display. When you
change the unit, the unit indicated on the display will change.
•
To switch off the scale, press the
ON/OFF/TARE
button and hold it for 3
seconds.
•
The scale will turn off automatically if idle for approximately 120 seconds.
7.3 Changing the weight units
After switching on the scale, you can change the weight unit using the UNIT
button – g, lb:oz, ml, cup. Each subsequent press changes the unit in the following
