Safety class III: the anti-electrocution protection is ensured
by the use of SELV (safety extra-low voltage) and power
systems in which the voltages do not exceed SELV while
live for extended periods of time.
This product conforms to the requirements of Directive
2011/65/EU, also known as RoHS. The RoHS Directive aims to
harmonize the legislation of the Member States with respect
to restricting the use of hazardous substances in electrical
and electronic equipment, and to contribute to the protection
of human health, and environmentally-friendly recycling and
disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
The RoHS Directive has been in force since 3 January 2013.
The electrical and electronic equipment marketed from
that date contains no lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent
chromium, polybrominated biphenyls or polybrominated
diphenyl ethers.
Used, fully discharged batteries or rechargeable batteries
must be disposed of to the properly marked containers, or
given to the hazardous waste collection centres, or returned
to the electric equipment suppliers.
