6 . Always unplug the appliance before leaving it
unattended and before assembly, disassembly or
cleaning .
7 . If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, a service centre or a properly
qualified individual to avoid hazard.
8 . Clean the parts that come into contact with
food and maintain the product according to the
instructions included in section 8. CLEANING AND
CARE.
9 . Do not grind coffee beans continuously for more
than 1 minute . Wait at least 3 minutes before
grinding another portion of coffee beans .
10 . Detailed instructions concerning safe operation of the appliance can be
found in a further part of this instruction manual .
11 . Read the entire instruction manual before you start using the appliance .
12 . To avoid the risk of fire or electrocution, follow basic safety rules when
using electric appliances and devices, particularly in the presence of

13 . This appliance is designed for home use . Do not use the product for
purposes other than its intended use .
14 . To prevent electrocution, do not immerse the power cord, the plug or the
appliance itself in water or any other liquid .
15 . Do not hang the power cord over a table or sink edge .

and do not place it near sources of heat: gas water heaters, electric

voltage specified in the label on the appliance matches the voltage in the

18 . Unfold the power cord before you start using the appliance .
19 . The power cord should not hang freely or touch any hot surface .
20 . Do not cover the appliance during operation . If the appliance is covered or
touches a flammable material, it could start a fire.
21 . When operating the appliance, do not put your hands or any objects
(utensils, tools etc .) into the grinder . Do not place any objects which could
damage the grinder into the chamber with the blades .
22 . Do not attempt to start the grinder without the lid on the grinding
chamber .
