Go/No-Go testing can be used to confirm a detector is within its sensitivity limits and operating normally
GO/NO-GO TESTING SOC-24V/-24VW
1.
Hold a magnet (2lb pull force min) on the detector as shown.
2.
For go: The detector should alarm and latch red within 10 seconds.
When using Alarm Verification, may take up to 30 seconds.
For no-go: The detector will blink red every 3 seconds and
never alarm or latch red.
3.
Upon reset, the smoke detector LED should blink Green every
3 seconds. If the detector blinks red, it should be replaced.
GO/NO-GO TESTING SOE-24V/-24V (WHT)/-24H/-24H (WHT)
1.
Place the Hochiki America Test Magnet to align the LED marking as shown.
2.
For go: The detector will blink red every second. Holding the magnet
in position for at least 13 seconds will cause the detector to alarm
with the red LED latched on.
For no-go: After at least 13 seconds, the detector will continue to
blink red every 3 seconds and never alarm or latch red.
3.
Upon reset, the smoke detector LED should blink Green every
3 seconds. If the detector blinks red, it should be replaced.
