Chassis Component Overview
Battery Holder: Molded out of impact-resistant nylon plastic, the battery holder firmly holds the battery pack that powers the
Outlaw
RTR Brushless Buggy
. The battery holder is sized to fit most 6 ~ 7cell Ni-Cd or Ni-MH battery packs and 2 ~ 3S Li-Po battery packs.
Body Mount: Molded out of high-impact nylon plastic for strength, the body mount supports the body. There is one body on each side
of the chassis at the front and one body mount at the rear of the chassis, for a total of three.
Brushless ESC with Cooling Fan: The ESC is a solid-state device that takes power from the battery pack and the throttle signal from
the receiver and converts them into proportional power for the motor. The
Outlaw RTR Brushless Buggy
features a high-quality 90 Amp
brushless ESC that can handle 6 ~ 8 cell Ni-Cds or Ni-MHs, or 2 ~ 3S Li-Pos. In addition, the ESC features a Battery Eliminator Circuit
(BEC), forward and reverse control, and a cooling fan that helps keep the ESC from overheating.
Brushless Motor with Heat-Sink: The brushless motor provides the power to the drivetrain. Brushless motors are more efficient and
produce more power than brushed motors. The Outlaw RTR Brushless Buggy features a powerful 2950kV brushless motor that includes
an aluminum heat-sink to help keep motor temperatures under control.
Bumper: Molded out of impact-resistant nylon plastic, the bumper protects the chassis from most head-on impacts.
Chassis Upper Deck: The Chassis Upper Deck is made from 2.5mm 6061 aluminum and is light and strong. It is secured between
the front and rear gearboxes to minimize chassis flex.
ESC Battery Leads: The ESC battery leads are where you plug your battery pack in to power your Outlaw RTR Brushless Buggy . The
ESC battery leads feature high-quality silicone wire and a high-quality T-Style connector.
ESC On/Off Switch: Turns the ESC 'ON' and 'OFF'. The ESC On/Off switch features a Setup button, which is used to program the
throttle control range calibration feature. For more information, see pages 13 and 14.
Receiver: The receiver receives the signal from the transmitter and converts that signal into the desired commands. For example,
when you turn the transmitter's steering wheel to the right, the receiver receives that signal and commands the steering servo to turn
the wheels to the right.
