Configuring the EtherNet/IP Communication
To configure the communication between the PLC and the SG-gateway the Rockwell Software
Studio 5000 can be used.
4.1
Creating a New Project in Studio 5000
►
Open Studio 5000.
►
In the quick start menu click
New Project
to create a new project.

Window to create a project is opened.
►
Select the controller in use.
►
Define name and path of project.
►
Click button
Next
.
►
If necessary modify the controller settings and click button
Next
.

Project is created.

Open menu
Tools
and select
EDS Hardware Installation Tool
.

EDS wizard is opened.

Start the wizard.
►
Select
Register an EDS file
and click button
Next
.

Select
Register a single file
and click button
Browse
to select the created ESD file (see
for information how to create an ESD file).
►
Click button
Next
.
→
Window that shows the active installed EDS files is opened.
