Connect the SAS cable to the new back end module.

Tighten the two blue screws to secure the back end module.

Confirm that the red

STATUS

LED on the new back end module is off.

Next steps

• Use the maintenance utility to restore (unblock) the back end module.

Restoring a DKB

Procedure

At the

Replace Disk Board

window, click

Restore

A progress bar shows the replacement status.

When the progress bar goes away and the completion message appears,

click

Close

If a warning message states that the encryption environment setting is

applied, click

Close

Click

DKBs

tab in the

Controller Chassis

window and confirm that the

status of the new back end module is

Normal

If necessary, click

Refresh

at the top-right of the window to update the

status in the window.

Log out and close the

Maintenance Utility

window.
