4.1.2 Startup procedure
The startup procedure for the SYS SW module is as follows.
System Operation
Start
Perform wiring between two R70 (S10V) units
mounting the SYS SW module according to “3.4
Wiring” to implement a multi-LPU (simplified
duplex) configuration.
① Set the “PRIORITY” switches of the SYS SW
modules in both self-system and other system.
1st: Higher priority
2nd: Lower priority

Set the output hold features of all the remote
I/O stations connected with the controller units
to “HOLD” (by shorting across the HOLD[A3]
and COM[A2] terminals on the terminal block).
Turn on the power supplies of the two R70 (S10V)
units and the external power supplies.
After turning on the power supplies, the SYS SW
module waits for about 15 seconds until the self-
system LPU is started normally.
The unit of which power supply has been turned
on first becomes the running system.
Set the “LADDER” switch of each LPU to “RUN.”
