HVM Navigator User's Guide - Migration 

Procedure for Concurrent Maintenance mode 

Operate some tools according to the following procedure to have an LPAR 

migrate in Concurrent Maintenance mode after you start HVM Navigator and 
then register the source and destination HVMs to the HVM Navigator according 

to the procedure shown in Hitachi Compute Blade HVM Navigator User’s 

Guide—Getting Started. 

 

Save HVM configurations 

on source and destination 

server blades. 

Back up HVM 

configurations on source 

and destination server 

blades. 

Start HVM Navigator. 

Click Update button 

(Main window) 

Select source and destination LPARs. 

(Migration [Shutdown] window) 

Operation on HVM Navigator 

Operation on 

Web console for CB 500 

Web console for CB 2500 

SC/BSM 

* 

*: It’s necessary that you 

execute the above two 
when you haven’t done 
them. 

Check CPU load and network load 

(CPU Realtime Viewer window, NIC 

Realtime Viewer window) 

Check the following requirements in
