(6) Other precautions in reassembling

After completion of reassembly, check that the rotating direction of the Drill Chuck

 matches the

position of the Pushing Button

.   When the Pushing Button

 is pressed from the (R) side,

the rotating direction of the Drill Chuck 

[2] <2>

 should be clockwise as viewed from behind.  Switch on and off

the Model DS 18DFL/DS 14DFL using the battery.  Check that the runout of the Drill Chuck 

[2] <2>

 is

0.8 mm or less at the position 110 mm (Model DS 18DFL) (Model DS 14DFL: 85 mm) away from the tip of the

chuck using a 12-mm dia. test bar (Model DS 18DFL) (Model DS 14DFL: 9-mm dia. test bar).

Please refer to the Technical Data and Service Manual for precautions in disassembly and reassembly of the

Battery Charger UC 18YGL.

(e) Check for proper operation of the Clutch Dial

When the reassembly procedure up to step (d) is completed, ensure that the every indication on the Clutch

Dial

 from the number "1" to the drill mark "         " can be aligned with the triangle mark on Housing

 turns moderately.  If any indication on

proper operation of the Shift Knob
