4.5 Connection
Variants
This chapter describes the correct wiring of the module in safety-related applications. The
connection variants specified here are permitted.
The outputs are wired via connector boards. Special connector boards are available for
redundantly wiring the modules, see Chapter 3.6.
The following points must be taken into account when connecting the loads to the outputs:
A protective circuit (free-wheeling diode) is required when connecting inductive loads.
Unshielded, twisted pair cables may be connected.
The ground wires of the outputs may not be interconnected.

NOTICE
The module outputs must be connected with two poles.
The ground wires of actuators may not be interconnected.
The use of common lines can result in interfering coupling loops that may cause the module
or the safety shutdown to fail.
