Setting AutomaticDimControl (ADC)
The LED KIT is equipped with an OSRAM
Optotronic4DIM or Philips XITANIUM LED operating
device suitable for your project. Parameters for the
dimming functionality and dimming profile are set
in the factory by means of software programming as
requested by the customer.
In order to set parameters for the AstroDIM function
(automatic dimming, based on midnight), the T_dim_
on and T_dim_off values desired for the system and
the desired level of dimming (50% is standard) should
be communicated with the order. The values set in the
factory are shown on a sticker located next to the type
plate. The parameter settings can only be changed
using a specific programming adapter and a PC with
the corresponding programming software.
Using the PSt input, the LED KIT can be added to an
existing control phase. If this is done, the existing con-
trol logic is detected automatically once switched on for
around 20min.
• (A)
Disconnect luminaire from mains. Open glass
cover. Remove lamp, reflector and lamp socket.
Mounting screws of the socket
(SF)
keep for further
use. Open rear ballast housing and remove compo-
nents and their wiring. (fully remove the core of the
luminaire).
• (B)
Position support bracket
(TB)
and fix it with the
4 screws
(SF)
.
• (C)
Guide connecting cable of the LED module
(LM)
between the support bracket
(TB)
and the housing
wall and through the left opening in the housing
(GD)
and into the rear driver housing.
• (D)
Position the LED module
(LM)
on the support
bracket using its keyholes and the screws
(SM)
.
Make sure that it is correctly aligned. (The cable
entries point towards the front of the lamp)! Tighten
screws
(SM)
.
• (E)
Position the connecting cable of the LED module
with 4-pole plug
(SM)
. Screw in fixing screw
(SG)
for the LED operating device carrier
(BG)
up to three
threads.
• (F)
Position LED operating device carrier
(BG)
using
its keyhole and the fixing screw. Hook the support
hooks, located at the top, into the middle open-
ings leading to the lamp housing. Tighten the fixing
screw. Plug the 4-pole plug
(SM)
into the socket on
the LED operating device carrier.
• (G)
Make the cable connection to the luminaire ter-
minal
(KB)
in the driver housing rear panel. Close the
lid and glass cover again.
• (H)
Connect luminaire with the mains and check
function.
• Mark conversion to LED, if necessary, in the lumi-
naire/on the pole. Keep assembly instructions for
maintenance at a later date.
• Correctly dispose of removed materials/components.
Note
If mains are frequently subject to peaks in voltage,
take additional relevant overvoltage protection meas-
ures as necessary.
