Operation
Crash caused by loose clothing
Laces, scarves and other loose items may become
entangled in the spokes on the
wheels
and the
chain
drive
. This may result in a crash and injuries.
Wear sturdy footwear and close-fitting clothing.
Crash caused by soiling
Heavy soiling can impair the functions of the bicycle,
for example, the function of the brakes. This may result
in a crash and injuries.
Remove coarse soiling before riding.
Crash caused by poor road conditions
Loose objects, for example, branches and twigs, may
become caught in the wheels and cause a crash.
Be aware of the road conditions.
Ride slowly and brake in good time.
When riding downhill, high speeds may be reached.
The bicycle is only engineered for exceeding a speed
of 25 km/h briefly. In particular the
tyres
can fail if
exposed to a continuous load.
Decelerate the bicycle with the brakes if higher
speeds than 25 km/h are reached.
Heat or direct sunlight can cause the
tyre pressure
to
increase above the permitted maximum pressure. This
can destroy the
tyres
.
Never park the bicycle in the sun.
On hot days, regularly check the
tyre pressure
and
adjust it as necessary.
