Thank you for purchasing this Hendi appliance. Please read this manual carefully before connecting the
appliance in order to prevent damage due to incorrect use. Read the safety regulations in particular very
carefully.
1. USE AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Read carefully and preserve these instructions and
safety directions for installation, use and mainte-
nance.
Our water softner must be used for the softening
of the water, in particular for coffee machines. The
manufacturer shall not be liable for any damages
to persons or things when derived from misuse,
mishandling, or from any other improper use.
The water softner has been 100% tested under 8
bar pressure.
The water softner works with a water operating
pressure usually from 0.5 to 2.5 bar and must be
supplied with drinkable water only, at room tem-
perature and over 0°C to prevent the water from
freezing.
Our water softner is supplied with and must be op-
erated only with resin approved for alimentary use.
The regeneration must be carried out with kitch-
en-salt only (Na.Ci.). No other chemical or natural
stuff shall be used for this purpose. The water soft-
ner is supplied with new ion exchange resin for ali-
mentary use, a vital element for a correct working.
2. INSTALLATION
1. After unpacking, make sure the softner has not
been damaged; if so, contact your retailer.
2. Keep plastic, carton boxes, packages etc. out of
the reach of children, as they may represent a
danger source.
3. The installation must be carried out according
to the directions in force and to these instruc-
tions by skilled personnel only.
4. A misinstallation, including the use of fl uids
other than water, may cause damages to per-
sons, animals or things, which the manufactur-
er shall not be held liable for.
5. Installations in places with a room temperature
under 0°C are forbidden as the water contained
in the softner will freeze.
The installation is to be protected from esternal
impact.
6. The connection to the water piping system
must be carried out in compliance with the
manufacturer’s instructions and by skilled per-
sonnel only.
7. When connecting the pipes to the water infl ow
and outfl ow taps use proper tools in order not
to damage the threads.
8. Connect the drain water pipe directly to a trap.
