Known Interference
Nucleated red blood cells (NRBC) may be counted as white
blood cells and give falsely elevated total leukocyte count. This
will mainly be reflected in the differential count as an elevated
lymphocyte count.
Cold agglutination or cryoglobulin may interfere.
Low Hb (<80 g/L) may cause an increased level of flags.
NOTE: Discard sample if clots.

Essential Performance
The HemoCue WBC DIFF system is an In-Vitro diagnostic system
designed for quantitative determination of white blood cells
(WBC) in capillary or venous whole blood. The system provides
values for a total white blood cell count and a differential white
blood cell count including neutrophil count, lymphocyte count,
monocyte count, eosinophil count and basophil count.
