5.7.1

Mode of Operation

(remote modem)

To switch into the remote configuration mode, a data connection
must be established between the modems. A certain connection
type is not mandatory, we recommend, however, using only error
corrected connections for remote configuration, to avoid transfer
errors for the commands.
The local modem is not required to master any remote configura-
tion type.
