Platelet Incubator Operation Manual

Using the screwdriver, turn the alarm delay control counter-clockwise until it stops. This decreases the

delay period to 0 minutes. The motion alarm should activate immediately.

Using the screwdriver, increase the delay period by turning the alarm delay control clockwise to
the appropriate position. Turning the control clockwise until it stops will set the delay period to

approximately 8 minutes.

5.3

Changing the volume for audible alarms

You can control the volume for audible alarms. The volume for temperature and power failure alarms is set

through the alarm volume control. PC4200h models have an additional alarm volume control for the motion
alarm.

5.3.1

Changing the volume for the temperature and power failure alarms

CAUTION:

Changing the volume for the temperature and power failure alarms requires

that you turn off the power to the incubator, which may affect the chamber

temperature. Before changing the volume, take precautions to protect items in

the incubator from extended exposure to adverse temperatures.

You can control the volume for the audible alarms for high temperature, low temperature, and power failure.
The alarm volume control for temperature and power failure alarms is located on top of the incubator under

the access panel.

Left: Alarm volume control for temperature and power failure alarms (circled).

The volume that you set with this control is used for all three alarms. At the factory, the volume is set at the
halfway point (medium).
You must have the following to change the volume:

►

Small flat-head screwdriver

To change the volume for audible temperature and power failure alarms

WARNING:

Changing the volume for the temperature and power failure alarms requires that

you remove the access panel from the incubator, which exposes you to the risk of

electric shock. Regulations for your organization may require that only designated

service personnel remove the access panel. Follow the guidelines for your

organization.
