3.0 Installation
The AIR1 unit must be fully isolated from the mains power supply before all mainte-
nance and installation work and opening the terminal compartment! The electrical
connections must be carried out in accordance with the wiring diagrams and must only
be carried out by qualified electricians. The electrical connection must be fully isolated
until the final assembly!
In order to operate the unit in CAP mode, the pressure sensor must be installed in the supply
air line. The pressure sensor measures the pressure on the inside (P1+) of the supply air line
and the ambient pressure on the outside (P1-) of the air line.
1. Mount pressure sensor horizontally or vertically on a stable, vibration-free surface.
If the sensor is installed in a humid environment, the cable entries must be at the bottom,
so that the moisture can evaporate.
Measuring points with turbulent airflows should be avoided for optimal measurement
results. It is best to measure at a distance of 2 duct diameters before bends and forks,
and at a distance of 6 duct diameters after bends and forks.
2. Connect plastic hose to the sensor and sensor pressure input (P1+).
3. Establish the electrical connections between the pressure sensor and the terminal box of
the AIR1 unit (see wiring diagrams in the corresponding installation and operating instruc-
tions for the respective AIR1 unit).
Use a shielded TP cable for the RS485 communication. In case of high fault risk, a
terminating resistor (120 Ω) should be installed at each end of the network.
4. Ensure that the pressure hoses are disconnected. Allow the unit to warm up for
around 10 minutes before resetting the unit.
Then carry out a zero calibration by pressing the pressure switch.
