Preparing your Boat
Latched
Slide your fully charged drive battery into the
hull and attach to the hook-and-loop fastner in
the hull.
Place the top hatch in position and rotate the
latch counterclockwise 90° to secure.
With your transmitter turned on, plug the drive
battery into the speed control.
Important
Do not arm the boat motor until you have placed the boat into the water.
Once in the water, arm the motor by pulling the throttle trigger to the rear and back to
neutral. The next time that you pull the throttle trigger to the rear the motor will start.
The Rivos XS speed control is equipped with a low voltage cutoff (LVC) circuit. When the Li-ion battery
voltage drops too low, the speed control will shut off power to the motor. Motor function can be
restored by cycling the throttle trigger off and then back on at a low power setting. At this point you
should return the boat to shore and recharge the drive battery. Repeatedly attempting to continue
operation may drop the battery voltage to damaging levels.
