Non-Combustible Finish Materials
0 Inches to 4 Inches Thick Inside Fit Method

The Tonic decorative front is approved for inside fi t ap-
plications. Non-combustible fi nishing materials up to 4
inches thick can be installed around the front (left, right,
top, and bottom). The inside fi t method requires an addi-
tional 1-3/4 inches of 1/2 in. thick non-combustible build-
ing material (not supplied with fi replace) to be installed on
the left and right sides. See Figure 13.14.

SLR-B models manufactured after 12/09 are shipped with
the 1-3/4 inch non-combustible pieces attached. Older
SLR-B models do not ship with these additional non-com-
bustible pieces in place. See Figure 13.14.

For the Tonic decorative front inside fi t applications, the
decorative front must be installed tight to the fi nishing
fl anges and must not overlap any fi nish material.

Ensure that minimum clearances to non-combustible fi n-
ish materials meet the specifi cations in Figure 13.15.
