Stone Placement Instructions
Model: STONEKIT
WARNING: Turn off appliance and allow to cool com

pletely before beginning installation. DO NOT use this
optional kit with any other internal hearth option such
as logs.
Kit Contents:
• Eighteen (18) ceramic fiber stones
NOTE
— Do not handle stones with your bare hands.
Always
wear gloves to prevent skin irritation from stone material.
After handling the stones, wash your hands with soap and
water to remove any traces of fibers.

NOTE
: Prior to placing the stones you must first install the
deflection glass and crushed glass media. For proper air
deflection glass and crushed glass media placement please
refer to the Owner’s and Installation Manuals for the partic-
ular AVFL or LANAI appliance that this kit is being used for.
1. Begin by placing stones randomly on the hearth area
outside of the burner. No stone should be placed on or
in front of the pilot area.
2. Light the appliance and look for any contact between
flame and stones. If contact is made, move the stones
from the flame area. See Figure 1, 2 or 3.
