Note:

 The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires that 

the chimney

 ue damper, when used with gas logs, shall be 

welded open or completely removed.

2.  ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

•  This appliance may be used with a wall switch and/or 

remote control.

•  Use low resistance thermostat wire for wiring from igni-

tion system to the wall switch.

•  Keep wire lengths as short as possible by removing any 

excess wire length.

•  Low voltage and 110 VAC voltage cannot be shared 

within the same wall box.

g.  After the gas line installation is complete, all connections 

must be tightened and checked for leaks with a com-
mercially-available, non-corrosive leak check solution. 
Be sure to rinse off all leak check solution following 
testing.  Refer to Section 3, 

OPERATING GUIDELINES 

and

 MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS.

 red and gas supply lines 

are purged, assemble the grate(s) and logs. Be certain 
to follow the Log Placement Instructions shipped with 
the unit. Remember to keep the Log Instructions along 
with this manual for future use.
