SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS
To avoid damaging the scale when unpacking it,
do not use a box cutter, knife, scissors or
any sharp object to open the protective inner packaging.
Remove scale from the carton and
unwrap packing material carefully, to prevent scratching the unit. Set the carton aside for
storage.
Inserting the Batteries / Replacing the Batteries
The scale is shipped without the batteries installed. The batteries are included in a small plastic
bag. Follow these instructions to insert the batteries on a new scale or to replace depleted
batteries on your current scale. The battery compartment is located on the underside of the
scale.
1. To open the battery compartment cover, push the battery compartment tab to the right and
lift upwards.
2. Install two new AAA batteries. Health o meter

Professional recommends using an
alkaline battery rated for 130°F (54°C) operation. Do not use zinc carbon batteries.
Follow the battery illustration to ensure the batteries are inserted in the proper
direction.
3. To attach the battery compartment cover, slide the end of the cover into the battery
compartment. Then push down on the tab and compartment to ensure the battery cover is
firmly attached. You do NOT need the screw to close the battery compartment. You may use
the screw to further secure the battery compartment if desired. Do not use the scale without
the battery compartment cover attached.
Selecting the Weight Mode (Kilograms/KG, Pounds/LB, or Stones/ST)
1. To select the weight mode, turn the scale over to access
the weight mode switch.
2. Slide the switch to the desired weight mode.
3. The far left position is for Kilograms. Center position is for
Pounds. The far right position is for Stones.
