Electric motor transmission
HE-VA Universal-spreader is equipped with a 12V electro motor, which by upstart uses approx. 15A and
only approx.10A at normal working speed. If an extension cord is required you shall use a 1,5 mm2 cord.
As standard 2 cords are supplied but needs to be assembled.
The red cord with safety device must be assembled on plus pole +.
The black cord must be assembled on minus pole –.
If other cords than the supplied ones are used, it is required to make sure about their are an correct
connection directly onto the battery. Otherwise the warranty does not cover by any damages.
Speed adjustment of spreader disc and agitator
The panel for speed adjustment of spreader disc makes it possible in advance to adjust the rotation of the
spreader disc. All devices on the panel for speed adjustment of spreader disc must always be protected
against moisture and may never be opened.
The speed adjustment is controlled with the panel which can placed in the tractor cabin. By turning the
button on the panel (1–10) the rotation speed is decided on the spreader disc.
The agitator point, which are supplied as standard, must be mounted on the little spreader shaft on the floor
inside the hopper. It will then serve as a stirring unit. When stirring in the hopper any blockage of wet and
damp material is prevented.
Distribution width
The distribution width depends on the consistence and weight of the material plus the rotation speed of the
disc. A distribution width up to 24m is possible by heavy seeds / material like for instance snail poison, but
is rarely achieved by light materials like grassed and similar.
Please note that by too high rotations of agitator point and spreader disc the distributing seeds / material
can take damage.
Adjustment of the calibration distribution volume
It is recommended to make a distribution test of each individual seed / material after end ”Calibration
Volume Distribution”. To obtain an optimal distribution width HE-VA Universal-spreader is recommended
to be mounted on the machine in minimum 1m height over the surface (1,30m by snail poison).
Up and down calibration of distribution volume is done manually by adjustment on the calibration scale for
distribution volume which controls the slide opening in the floor of the hopper: position 0 = closed –
position 10 = open completely.
For adjustment of fan jet spreader the enclosed calibration chart may be helpful. It is recommended always
to make a calibration test, and for that matter the transport box may be helpful. One wall in the transport
box is taken out and the fan jet spreader is put in the box. On the panel for adjustment of speed of spreader
disc the required rotation speed is chosen. The required distribution volume is adjusted on the calibration
