NSPECTING THE INTEGRITY OF THE DOOR SEALS

NSPECTING THE FILLING HATCH
1. Allow the fire in the boiler to burn out and cool off.
2. Open the filling hatch.
See “Cleaning the fuel chamber” in the “Cleaning the primary air
inlets, fuel chamber and burner nozzle” section in this chapter.
3. Clamp a sheet of paper (approx. 30 cm long and 2 cm wide)
between the contact surface (3) and the filling hatch seal (2).
4. Close the filling hatch (1).
5. Pull on the paper.
If the paper moves, the door is not properly sealed.
If the paper does not move, the door is properly sealed.
6. Repeat the procedure from step 2 to step 5 until you have
inspected all four of the contact surfaces (3).
7. Remove the paper and close the filling hatch (1).
The inspection of the filling hatch seal is completed.

8. To check the sealing of the combustion chamber hatch and the
upper filling hatch, proceed as described above in the “Inspecting
the filling hatch” section.
The door seals have been checked.
