D.4 – PLU definition

Entering to the PLU definition can be done by accessing menu 3.4 or using a
shortcut key.

- shorcut key for accessing this menu

- key used to print the current settings for selected PLU

HCP MECHARE cash register has memory area reserved for 32 000 PLU. Each
PLU can be set with next parameters:

* barcode

up to 14 digits

* description

:

up to 34 characters

* price

:

up to 21.000.000,00

* VAT

:

NONTXBL,TAX1,TAX2,TAX3

* measurement unit

:

Each PLU in base has barcode definition that can be used as a code for selling
by using a keyboard.

Barcode/code input

Barcode/code can be entered with barcode reader or with keyboard. With
barcode, cash register automatically transfers to the next input menu and if the
input is done with keyboard, PLU/BAR key needs to be pressed for confirmation
of finished input.
