5.2 Bus termination
Correct termination of the first and last device on a Profibus segment is essen­
tial to correct signal transmission. Bus termination involves three resistors (see
Fig. 5.2), integrated in the Profibus connector.

Connect the Profibus line to the AP77 connection board. Ensure that the
Profibus connector slide switches of the first and last Profibus device are set
to “ON” position.
