WEB INTERFACE

Important

You can make a maximum of one network connection. Multiple connections are not
possible. If you try to establish another connection, it will be rejected with the error
message "Connection to device lost".

The integrated web-based user interface allows you to configure your DSE and make
settings on the device. As soon as the DSE is switched on and has an IP address (see
section 6, page 21), you can access the DSE's user interface via your default web
browser.

Launch your browser, enter the correct IP address of your DSE in the address bar and

confirm with 

Enter

 or Return (

).

This will load the DSE user interface. The first time you run it, it can take up to eight
seconds until the interface is fully loaded and displayed, due to parallel transmission via
Industrial Ethernet.

Information

You can access the user interface via your web browser; you do not need to install any
additional software. The following browsers are supported in the versions listed or later,
and have been tested by HBM:
- Chrome version 78
- Firefox version 70
- Edge version 44.18

Important

Make sure you are using HTTP; HTTPS is not supported.
If you cannot connect, your firewall might be blocking the connection. For communica­
tion with the device via a browser, TCP port 80 is required.

The DSE user interface is divided into three sections: the navigation area, the status bar,
and the main window. Click on the HBM logo at the bottom left to go to the product
website at 

https://www.hbm.com/DSE

Information

After switching on, the start parameter set is first loaded and activated (initialization).
The DSE takes about 3 seconds to start outputting measured values to the web server.
