4. Service and maintenance
The shortening set for Hawle freeflow underground hydrants is maintenance-free.
5. Commissioning and pressure testing
•
Open cover
•
Mount hydrant standpipe according to DIN 14375-1
•
Extend hydrant standpipe with hose
•
Lay the hose in such a way that water is safely drained off
•
Slowly open hydrant
•
Perform pressure testing as visual inspection at operating pressure
•
Perform a function test by completely opening and then closing the hydrant
•
After closing the hydrant, dismantle the standpipe and hose line
•
Check whether hydrant drains completely
