KK-C-VAK (VENT ADAPTOR KIT)
(Ductwork kit that attaches to the O.E.M. Rear Heat / AC blower system)
A kit will be provided to adapt the chassis O.E.M. rear heat and air conditioning system to the prisoner transport insert. The
kit will include a plenum that attaches to the O.E.M. blower housing. From this housing there will be four (4) hose ducts
connected to the ceiling of each prisoner unit. Each hose end will have a vandal proof vent guard positioned to provide an
even flow of air into each compartment. Controls for the vent adaptor kit will be the pre-existing O.E.M. rear controls.
Sheet metal in the area of the rear evaporator unit must have a vandal proof service access panel.
MISCELLANEOUS:
1. When all components of insert are completed assembled and installed, all seams will be sealed with RTV silicone
.

An aluminum plate with white powder coat finish will cover the accommodations in the driver side bench, wall and rear
bulkhead. This cover will guard the OEM air conditioner / heat evaporator blower system from detainees and will allow for
easy access when removed for service.
FINISH:
All aluminum parts will have a super durable White polyester powder coat finish. The profile of the aluminum sub-straight
will have proper pretreatment preparation to withstand a minimum of 1,000 hour salt spray exposure (per ASTM-B117
testing). Written test results must be available upon request.
