7. Spool and line replacement (see fig 12
to 18)
Unplug the power supply cable before
attempting to change the trimmer line.
Turn the trimmer over to access the cutting
line. Hold the cutter head with one hand and
press the spool cover releas latches located
on opposite sides of the cuter head with the
other hand.
Remove the spool cover and seperate the
spool from the cover. Discard any remaining
trimmer line.
Rewinding spool using bulk line
NOTE:
Use only .065” diameter line. The
maximum recommended length of line in the
spool is 10 ft. (3 m) per line.
Take approximately 10 ft (3 m) of line and
insert 5/8” (15 mm) of line into the hole in the
upper section of the spool. Wind the line in the
direction of the arrow on the top of the spool.
Leave approximately 4” (100 mm) of line
unwound and place it into the cleat. Repeat on
the lower section of spool.
Care should be taken to ensure that the line is
neatly coiled on the spool. Failure to do so will
impair the efficiency of the automatic line feed.
Re-attach the spool to the spool cover by
threading the trimmer line through the 2
eyelets in the cover head and pulling on the
line to release it from the cleats.
Lower the spool and spool cover assembly
onto the cutter head. Reconnect the spool
cover by ensuring that the latches lock in
place.
