may be toxic if swallowed.
h)Handle batteries with care in order not to
short the battery with conducting materials
such as rings, bracelets, and keys. The battery
or conductor may overheat and cause burns.
i)Wear full eye protection and protective
clothing.
j)If electrolyte contacts the skin, wash it off
immediately with water.
k)If electrolyte contacts the eyes, flush
thoroughly and immediately with water. Seek
medical attention.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES
1. Use the hedge trimmer only in daylight or
good artificial light.
2. Know how to stop the hedge trimmer quickly
in an emergency.
3. Never hold the hedge trimmer by the guard.
4. Never operate the hedge trimmer with
damaged guards or without guard in place.
5. Avoid operating while people, especially
children, are nearby.
6. While using the hedge trimmer always be
sure of a safe and secure operating position.
7. Keep hands and feet away from the cutting
blades at all times and especially when
switching on the motor.
8. Do not use stepladders while operating the
hedge trimmer.
9. Do not expose to rain. Do not operate your
hedge trimmer on a wet hedge.
10. Always ensure the hand guard supplied is
fitted before using the hedge trimmer. Never
attempt to use an incomplete appliance or one
fitted with an unauthorized modification.
11. Check cutting blades regularly for damage,
and if damaged repair immediately.
12. Do not start the hedge trimmer with the
blade cover fitted.
13.Take care not to overload the hedge
trimmer and do not use it on jobs for which
it is not intended, i.e. the hedge trimmer was
designed only to cut hedges, shrubs and
perennials.
14. Always be sure of your footing when using
steps and when using your hedge trimmer.
15. Never run when using your hedge trimmer.
16. Heavy-duty gloves should always be worn
when using the hedge trimmer.
17. Keep your hands away from blade and
moving parts when making adjustments.
18. During transportation and storage of the
hedge trimmer, keep blade covered at all times
with the blade sheath.
19. The use of a Residual Current Device
(R.C.D.) with a tripping current of not more
than 30mA is recommended.
20. Do not try to grasp or remove hedge
clippings when the hedge trimmer is running.
Only remove hedge clippings when the
appliance is switched off.
21. Carry the hedge trimmer at the handle
while the cutter blade is not running. Always
ensure guard supplied is fitted when
transporting or storing the hedge trimmer.
Careful operation reduces the injury by the
cutting blade.
FOR CHARGER
1.Only use the battery charger specifically
stated on the base of the battery.
2.Charger is double insulated for additional
electrical safety.
3.Charger is for indoor use only.
4.If the charger supply cord is damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
FOR BATTERY
1.Always remove the battery pack from the
charger immediately after re-charging is
completed.
2.When not in use, remove a charged battery
pack from the charger.
