1) Assembling and Connecting the Blower/
Vacuum Tube
NOTE:
The blower/vacuum tube (5) comes
in 2 sections and must be assembled and
connected to the housing before the machine
is used.
a) Fit the guide grooves in the upper tube with
the grooves in the lower tube and push the
two sections firmly together until the clip in the
moulding engages and locks the two sections
together (see Fig. 1).
b) Attach the blower/vacuum tube to the motor
assembly, undoing the two screws (10) located
on opposite sides of the motor housing by
turning each screw counter-clockwise. Undo
both screws until the end of each screw is
flush with the inside of the motor housing.
These screws will hold the blower/vacuum
tube in place on the motor housing.
c) Slide the assembled blower/vacuum tube
into the motor housing (see Fig 2).
d) Tighten each of the two screws located on
the side of the motor housing by turning each
screw clockwise. The screws should extend
into the holes on the blower/suction tube (see
Fig 2). In order to align the screws with the
holes in the blower/suction tube, the tube must
be firmly inserted into the motor housing while
the screws are being tightened.
