1.3 - PICKING TRAY
1.3.1 - Description
This picking tray is designed as an attachment to the platform to transport parcels to and from elevated
heights.
1.3.2 - Safety precautions
Before using machine in the picking mode :
• Cordon off the surrounding area of the machine when used in the picking mode.
• Do not use the tray for any other purpose than to lift parcels to the overhead/elevated temporary work
places.
• Do not use/operate the machine when alone. A survey person or immediate Supervisor must be
present on the ground in case of emergency.
• Ensure that support tube is secured to the platform.
• Do not sit, stand, or climb on the tray.
• Do not place loads overhanging beyond the picking tray.
1.3.3 - Pre-use inspection
• Check that the picking tray and support tube have no cracks or other damage.
• Check that the picking tray is secured to the platform.
• Check that the information/capacity decal is present on the picking tray and is legible.
1.3.4 - Loading instructions
• The foldable side panels must be used to prevent objects falling from the picking tray.
• Lift up and fix the foldable side panels into the upright position.
• Only place parcels that do not exceed the surface area of the picking tray.
• The picking tray must be situated at the same height as the load to be transferred.
