battery-only operations
When operating on battery power alone,
Verity devices include a built-in energy-saving
timeout feature that will shut down the device
after a period of inactivity.
If the device is running only on battery power,
unless the device is on one of the following
screens, the device will shut down after 2
minutes of inactivity.
Exceptions (device battery will not time out on
these screens):
•
Print Zero Tape
•
Ready to Open Polls
•
Enter Open Polls Code
•
Password Incorrect
•
Polls Open
If a device times out, you can restore battery
power by either:
A) Connecting to AC power, or
B) Disconnecting the battery pack and then
reconnecting the battery pack.
To reset the timeout period without having to
restore power, you can press any key, print a
report, or process a report.
