Cleaning
Always unplug the appliance before you start cleaning it.
Never immerse the appliance or the jug in water.
1. Clean the outside of the
coff
ee maker with a moist cloth.
2. Detach the
filt
er holder.
3. Clean the jug and the permanent
filter
in hot water with some
washing-up liquid.
Note:
Do not
attem
pt to clean the inside of water tank, as this will leave a
residue of lint and may clog your
coff
ee maker, simply rinse with cold water
periodically.
Descaling
Regular descaling will prolong the life of the appliance and will guarantee
optimal
brewing results for a long
time.
In case of normal use (two full jugs of
coffee
every day), descale the
coffe
e
maker:
*once every month if you are using hard water;
*once every 4 months if you are using
soft
water.
Turn to your local water board for
information
about the water hardness in
your area.

Fill the water tank half full with water and a liquid descaler. Do not
use a powder descaler! You can also use white vinegar (4%
acetic
acid).

Let the appliance complete two brewing cycles.

Let the appliance complete two more brewing cycles with fresh, cold
water to remove all liquid descaler or vinegar residues.

Clean the separate parts (see chapter ‘Cleaning’).
Trouble

it is plugged in properly.

(red indicator light on) is in the “ON” posi

that the
filter
holder is locked in place correctly.
-The water

me is too long or makes too much noise:

ee maker.
4. Do not put the jug or any accessories in the dishwasher.
