Installation of the HOA 7000 Series

This chapter describes how to:

•

Receiving and Inspection.

•

Installing the Unit in the HLP 4200 Platform.

•

Connecting the fiber cable.

2.1

Receiving and Inspection

When unpacking the unit, inspect the shipping container and equipment for damage. Save the
shipping material for future use.

If the container or the equipment is damaged, notify both the freight carrier and Harmonic Inc.
To protect the operator from potential injury and to protect the equipment from future damage,
do not perform any operational tests.

The HOA 7000 series is provided with the following accessories:

1. Product Manual.
2. Male GSK to Female F-Adapter.
3. Fiber cleaning kit.
4. Extra safety labels supplied for user cable(s).

Warning

Do not perform any operation test if the equipment appears to be damaged.
