5 Connections and controls
WARNING!
Possible hearing damage due to high volumes on headphones!
The use of headphones at high volumes may result in permanent
hearing impairment. Over an extended period of time, even levels that
seem to be uncritical can cause hearing damage.
Avoid operating headphones at high volumes, in particular over an
extended period of time.
NOTICE!
Risk of damage by placing the instrument on the front side!
When placing the instrument on its front, there is a risk of damaging the
fingerboard and the tail piece.
If possible, always place the instrument with the back facing down‐
wards.
For installation and maintenance work: If possible, use a soft underlay if
you must place the device on its front for certain work. Avoid any pres‐
sure on the back, especially when placing the instrument on a hard sur‐
face.
Before you connect amplifiers or microphones, the volume controls of the
violin and the devices to be connected must be set to “Minimum”. This
avoids loud crack noises when switching on.
5.1 Inserting the battery
On delivery of the instrument, a suitable 9-V block battery is enclosed.
1.
Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the instrument.
2. Insert the battery into the battery compartment the correct way around and
close the battery compartment cover until it audibly latches into place.
