Winsch RADIAL - Plain Top und Self Tailing
1 Gang Winsch:
Legen Sie Ihr Tauwerk in Laufrichtung von Unten nach Oben mit
diversen Windungen um die Winsch-Trommel. Bei self-tailing
Winschen muss die letzte Windung zwischen den Self-tailing-
Backen positioniert werden. Stecken Sie die Kurbel in die dafür
vorgehsehende Aufnahme und drehen Sie sie in der in der Tabelle
angegebenen Richtung
2 Gang Winsch:
Legen Sie Ihr Tauwerk in Laufrichtung von Unten nach Oben mit
diversen Windungen um die Winsch-Trommel. Die letzte
Windung muss zwischen den self-tailing Backen eingelegt
werden. Stecken Sie die Kurbel in die Aufnahme. Um den ersten
Gang 'einzulegen' drehen Sie die Kurbel in der in der Tabelle
angegebenen Richtung. Wenn sich die Last erhöht, legen Sie den
zweiten Gang ein, durch Drehen der Kurbel in der entgegenge-
setzten Richtung.
3 Gang Winsch:
Legen Sie Ihr Tauwerk in Laufrichtung von Unten nach Oben mit
diversen Windungen um die Winsch-Trommel. Die letzte
Windung muss zwischen den self-tailing Backen eingelegt
werden. Stecken Sie die Kurbel in die Aufnahme. Der erste Gang
wird aktiviert durch Drücken des Knopfs neben der Aufnahme
und Drehen der Kurbel in der in die Tabelle angegebenen
Richtung. Weitere Gänge werden automatisch geschaltet durch
Drehen in der jeweiligen Gegenrichtung.
Winsch RADIAL – Angetrieben
2 Gang self-tailing Winschen (40-46-50- 60-70-80):
Legen Sie Ihr Tauwerk in Laufrichtung von Unten nach Oben mit
diversen Windungen um die Winsch-Trommel. Die letzte
Windung muss zwischen den self-tailing Backen eingelegt
werden. Der erste Gang wird aktiviert durch den 1.Gang Knopf
auf Deck, der zweite Gang durch den 2.Gang Knopf.
3 Gang self-tailing Winschen (60-70-80):
Legen Sie Ihr Tauwerk in Laufrichtung von Unten nach Oben mit
diversen Windungen um die Winsch-Trommel. Die letzte
Windung muss zwischen den self-tailing Backen eingelegt
werden. Stecken Sie die Kurbel in die Aufnahme. Der erste Gang
wird aktiviert durch Drücken des Knopfs neben der
Kurbel-Aufnahme (P) und den (1-3) Knopf auf Deck. Der zweite
Gang durch den (2) Knopf, der dritte Gang wiederum durch den
ersten Knopf (1-3). Siehe fig.1
Bei allen angetriebenen Winschen ist es möglich, den Antrieb
automatisch abzukoppeln durch Einsetzen der Kurbel in die
Aufnahme; dadurch wird verhindert, dass
Kurbel und Trommel
bei versehentlichem Drücken des Tasters bewegt werden.

ACHTUNG! Der Gebrauch der Winsch verlangt einige
Vorsichtsmaßnahmen:
• Benutzen Sie keine Harken
® Winsch, ohne ausreichend
ausgebildet und erfahren zu sein, im Segelsport und speziell im
Gebrauch der Ausrüstung.
• Finger, Hände, Haare, weite Kleidung, Handschuhe, und
Werkzeug stets von bewegten Teilen fern halten, und
insbesondere nicht zwischen Leine und Winsch gelangen lassen.
• Bevor Sie die Winsch betreiben, stellen Sie sicher, dass alle
Personen und Gegenstände ausser Reichweite der dadurch
möglicherweise in Bewegung geratenden Komponenten sind.
• Besondere Vorsicht ist geboten beim Fieren einer Leine unter
Last.
• Ist die Winsch nicht im Gebrauch, verstauen Sie die Kurbel an
einem sicheren Ort.
• Die Winsch NICHT zum Schleppen, Vertäuen des Bootes oder
zum Lichten des Ankers verwenden.
• NIEMALS eine Last anlegen, welche die maximale Arbeits Last
MWL (Maximum Working Load) der Winsch überschreitet.
• Mindestens drei Windungen der Schot in Drehrichtung auf die
Trommel legen. Für hohe Lasten legen Sie eine
Windung mehr.
Bei selbstholenden Winschen .RADIAL. muss sichergestellt sein,
dass die freie Bewegung der unteren Backe des self-tailing
Mechanismus nicht durch zu viele Windungen auf der Trommel
eingeschränkt wird. Je mehr Windungen auf der Trommel, desto
geringer die Kraft, die zum Halten der Schot aufgebracht werden
muss.
• Keine Windung um den Sockel der Winsch legen.
• Die Winsch nicht zum Umlenken einer Schot auf eine weitere
Winsch (cross-sheeting) verwenden.
WARTUNG
Waschen
Winschen sollten nach jedem Gebrauch mit Süßwasser gespült
werden.
ACHTUNG! Ein weiches Tuch für alle im Folgenden
aufgelisteten Reinigungs- und Polierarbeiten benutzen.
Keine Scheuertücher auf keiner Komponente benutzen.
Nur die Komponenten aus Edelstahl mit Stainless Steel Cleaner
BK4522 reinigen.
Die Bügel der Versionen Winch aus Bronze (BBB) und die
Trommeln der verchromten Versionen Winch (CCC) nur mit einer
Lösung aus Wasser und Essig (1 Teil Essig+2 Teile Wasser)
reinigen.
Nicht Stainless Steel Cleaner BK4522 und Winch Metal Polish
BK4520 auf den folgenden Komponenten benutzen:
- Komponenten aus eloxiertem Aluminium
- Kunststoffkomponenten
- Bügel der Versionen Winch aus Bronze (BBB)
- Kunststoffkomponenten
Keine Lösungsmittel, Polish und Scheuerpasten auf den auf dem
Winch Harken vorhandenen Logos und Aufklebern benutzen.
Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt der Winsch mit Teakpflegemitteln,

dass die Winsch zuverlässing funktionsfähig ist.
Verwenden Sie nur Griffe Harken.

Stellen Sie sicher, dass Drainage Öffnungen im Sockel der
Winsch nicht verstopft sind, um die Ansammlung von Wasser zu
vermeiden.
Wartungs Tabelle
Winschen müssen vor und nach jeder Segel- oder Regattasaison
optisch inspiziert werden.
Sie müssen mindestens alle 12 Monate vollständig überholt,
gereinigt und geschmiert werden. Nach der Inspektion sollten
alle abgenutzten oder schadhaften Teile ersetzen werden.
Zum Zerlegen und Zusammenbau der Winsch sollten Sie das
Wartungs-Handbuch zu Hilfe nehmen.
ACHTUNG! Die periodische Wartung, muss regelmäßig
durchgeführt werden. Das Unterlassen angemessener
Wartung verkürzt die Nutzungsdauer, führt zum Verfall
der Garantie und kann ernste Unfällen zur Folgen haben.

Winch Radial - Plain Top e Self Tailing
Winch a 1 Velocità:
Avvolgere la cima attorno alla campana del winch e per i winch self
tailing, fissare l’ultimo collo nelle semipulegge del self tailing. Inserire la
maniglia nel mozzo per l’innesto della maniglia e ruotare la maniglia
nella direzione indicata nella tabella.
Winch a 2 Velocità:
Avvolgere la cima attorno alla campana del winch e per i winch
self tailing, fissare l’ultimo collo nelle semipulegge del self
tailing. Inserire la maniglia nel mozzo per l’innesto della maniglia
e per azionare la prima velocità, ruotare la maniglia nella
direzione indicata nella tabella. All’aumentare del carico, per
azionare la seconda velocità, ruotare la maniglia in direzione
contraria.
Winch a 3 Velocità:
Avvolgere la cima attorno alla campana del winch e fissare
l’ultimo collo nelle semipulegge del self tailing. Inserire la
maniglia nel mozzo per l’innesto della maniglia.
La prima velocità si inserisce premendo il pulsante posizionato
intorno all’alloggiamento della maniglia e ruotando la maniglia
nella direzione indicata nella tabella. I successivi cambi di
velocità si ottengono automaticamente invertendo il senso di
rotazione della maniglia.
Winch Radial – Motorizzati
Winch a 2 Velocità Self Tailing (40-46-50-60-70-80):
Avvolgere la cima attorno alla campana del winch e fissare
l’ultimo collo nelle semipulegge del self tailing.
Per azionare il winch in prima velocità premere il corrispettivo
pulsante posizionato sulla coperta. Per azionare la seconda
velocità premere il secondo pulsante sulla coperta.
Winch a 3 Velocità Self Tailing (60-70-80):
Avvolgere la cima attorno alla campana del winch e fissare
l’ultimo collo nelle semipulegge del self tailing. Per azionare il
winch in prima velocità premere il pulsante posizionato intorno al
mozzo per l’innesto della maniglia (P) e premere il corrispettivo
pulsante posizionato sulla coperta (1-3).
Per azionare la seconda velocità premere il secondo pulsante
sulla coperta (2). Per azionare la terza velocità premere
nuovamente il primo pulsante (1-3). Vedere figura 1.
In tutti i Winch motorizzati, quando il winch non è sotto carico, è
possibile disconnettere automaticamente il motore tramite
l’inserimento della maniglia nel mozzo, evitando così che la
maniglia e il winch ruotino se si premono accidentalmente i
pulsanti di azionamento del winch.
ATTENZIONE! Leggere attentamente, comprendere e
seguire tutti gli Avvisi e le Istruzioni Generali per evitare
incidenti, presenti sul Catalogo Harken® e sul sito web

ATTENZIONE! L’utilizzo del winch richiede poche ma
importanti precauzioni:
• Non utilizzare i winch Harken® se non si possiede un livello
sufficiente di formazione ed esperienza nel settore della vela in
generale e nell’uso dell’attrezzatura in particolare.
• Tenere le dita, le mani, i capelli, gli indumenti non aderenti, i
guanti e gli utensili lontani dalle parti in movimento ed in
particolar modo evitare che si interpongano tra la cima ed il
winch.
• Prima di utilizzare il winch assicurarsi che tutte le persone e gli
oggetti siano al di fuori del percorso seguito da tutte le
componenti di reazione del sistema nel loro movimento.
• Prestare particolare attenzione nella fase di rilascio della cima
in presenza del carico.
• Se non si utilizza il winch, riporre la maniglia in luogo sicuro.
• NON utilizzare il winch per il tonneggio, per ormeggiare
l’imbarcazione o per alare l’ancora.
• Non utilizzare il winch come rimando di una cima su di un altro
winch (cross-sheeting)
• NON applicare un carico maggiore del MWL (Maximum
Working Load) del winch.
• Non avvolgere la cima attorno alla gonna del winch.

CARATTERISTICHE TECNICHE
Carico d’uso
ATTENZIONE! Non applicare un carico maggiore del
carico di lavoro massimo MWL (Maximum Working
Load) del winch.
Cime compatibili
I winch Harken® dotati di self-tailing sono caratterizzati da
semipulegge precaricate con molle, le quali si adattano
automaticamente ai seguenti diametri delle cime:
ATTENZIONE! Utilizzare nel self-tailing esclusivamente
cime con diametro compreso nell’intervallo indicato. NON
utilizzare cavi metallici, catene ovvero cime non
approvate per uso nautico.

USO AMMESSO
I winch Harken® sono progettati e costruiti per essere utilizzati
su imbarcazioni a vela per regolare le scotte, le drizze e le
manovre correnti delle vele. Per ogni altro utilizzo, consultare la
sezione winch sul sito web Harken®.
• Avvolgere almeno 3 colli sul tamburo del winch, nel senso di
rotazione del tamburo stesso. In presenza di carichi elevati,
aggiungere un ulteriore collo. Per i Winch Radial Self Tailing, al
fine di garantire il corretto funzionamento del Self Tailing, il
numero di colli massimo non deve limitare la mobilità della
semipuleggia inferiore. Maggiore è il numero di colli, minore è il
carico che l’operatore dovrà maneggiare.
MANUTENZIONE
Lavaggio
I winch devono essere lavati frequentemente con acqua dolce, e
comunque dopo ogni utilizzo.
ATTENZIONE! Utilizzare un panno morbido per tutte le
operazioni di pulizia e di lucidatura elencate di seguito.
Non utilizzare panni abrasivi su alcun componente.
Pulire solo i componenti in acciaio inox con Stainless Steel
Cleaner BK4522.
Pulire le staffe delle versioni Winch in bronzo (BBB) e le campane
delle versioni Winch cromati (CCC) solo con una soluzione di
acqua e aceto (1 parte di aceto+2 parti di acqua).
Non utilizzare Stainless Steel Cleaner BK4522 e Winch Metal
Polish BK4520 su:
- componenti in alluminio anodizzati
- componenti cromati
- staffe delle versioni Winch in bronzo (BBB)
- componenti plastici
Non utilizzare solventi, polish e paste abrasive sui loghi e sugli
adesivi presenti sul Winch Harken.
Evitare il contatto dei prodotti per la pulizia del teak e di altre
sostanze pulenti contenenti soluzioni caustiche con i winch e in
particolare con i componenti anodizzati, cromati e plastici dei
winch.
Assicurarsi che i fori di drenaggio posti nella base del winch non
siano ostruiti, onde evitare la stagnazione dell’acqua nella base
del winch.
Tabella Manutenzione
I winch devono essere ispezionati visivamente all’inizio e alla fine
di ogni stagione di navigazione/regate.
Inoltre essi devono essere interamente revisionati, puliti e
lubrificati almeno ogni 12 mesi. In seguito all’ispezione effettuata
sostituire i componenti usurati o danneggiati.

ATTENZIONE! La manutenzione periodica deve essere
effettuata regolarmente. La mancanza di un’adeguata
manutenzione riduce il ciclo di vita del winch, può

Winch Radial - Plain Top e Self Tailing
1 speed Winch:
Take turns of the line round the winch drum and, for self-tailing
winches, pass the final turn in the self-tailing jaws. Insert the
handle into the handle socket and turn it in the direction indicated
in the table.
2 speed Winch:
Take turns of the line round the winch drum and, for self-tailing
winches, pass the final turn in the self-tailing jaws. Insert the
handle into the handle socket and, to activate first speed, turn the
handle in the direction indicated in the table. As the load
increases, activate second speed by turning the handle in the
opposite direction.
3 speed Winch:
Take turns of the line round the winch drum and pass the final
turn in the self-tailing jaws. Insert the handle into the handle
socket. First speed is activated by pushing the button next to the
handle socket and turning the handle in the direction indicated in
the table.
Subsequent speed changes are activated automatically by
turning the handle in the opposite direction.
Winch Radial – Powered
2 speed self-tailing winches (40-46-50- 60-70-80):
Take turns of the line round the winch drum and pass the final
turn in the self-tailing jaws. To activate first speed, press the first
speed button on the deck.
For second speed, press the second button.
3 speed self-tailing winches (60-70-80):
Take turns of the line round the winch drum and pass the final
turn in the self-tailing jaws. To activate first speed, press the
button next to the handle socket (P) and the corresponding
button on the deck (1-3). To activate second speed press the
second button on the deck (2). For third speed press the first
button (1-3) again. See figure 1.
In all motorised Winches , it is possible automatically to
disconnect the motor by inserting the handle in the socket, thus
avoiding the winch and handle rotating if the activating buttons
are pressed accidentally.
WARNING! To avoid accidents, carefully read, understand
and follow all the warnings and general instructions in the
Harken® Catalogue and on the website www.harken.com
WARNING! Using the winch demands a few important
precautions:
• Do not use Harken® winches if you are not sufficiently trained
and experienced in sailing generally and in the use of equipment
in particular.
• Keep your fingers, hands, any loose clothing, gloves and tools
away from moving parts and in particular avoid them coming
between the line and the winch.
• Before using the winches make sure that all people and objects
are clear of the movement of the reacting components of the
system.
• Take particular care when releasing the line under load.
• If the winch is not in use, put the handle in a safe place.
• DO NOT use the winch for hauling, mooring the boat or
weighing the anchor.
• DO NOT apply a load greater than the maximum working load
MWL (Maximum Working Load) of the winch.
• Take at least three turns of line round the winch drum, in the
direction in which the drum rotates . For high loads, take an
additional turn. For self-tailing winches Radial, to ensure correct
functioning of the self-tailing mechanism the number of turns
taken round the drum must not hamper the movement of the
lower self-tailing jaw. The more turns taken, the lower the load
the user has to handle.
• Do not take turns round the base of the winch drum.
• Do not use the winch to turn a line to another winch
(cross-sheeting)
MAINTENANCE
Washing
Winches must be washed frequently with fresh water, and in any
case after each usage.
WARNING! Use a soft cloth for all cleaning and polishing
operations listed below. Do not use abrasive cloths on
any component.
Only clean stainless steel components with Stainless Steel
Cleaner BK4522.
Clean the brackets of the bronze versions of the Winch (BBB) and
the drums of the chromed versions of the Winch (CCC) only with
a solution of water and vinegar (1 part of v 2 parts of
water).
Do not use Stainless Steel Cleaner BK4522 and Winch Metal
Polish BK4520 on:
- anodized aluminium components

Do not allow teak cleaning products or other cleaning
substances containing caustic solutions to come into contact
with the winch and in particular with anodized, chromed or
plastic winch parts.
Make sure that the drainage holes in the base of the winch are
not
obstructed to avoid water collecting in the winch base.
Maintenance table
Winches must be visually inspected at the beginning and end of
each sailing or racing season.
They must be completely overhauled, cleaned and lubricated at
least every 12 months. After inspection replace any worn or
damaged components.
For assembly and disassembly, refer to the Maintenance Manual.
WARNING! Periodic maintenance must be carried out on
a regular basis. Lack of adequate maintenance shortens
the life of the winch and may cause serious accidents,
apart from rendering the winch warranty invalid.
Winches must always be installed and maintained
exclusively by specialised personnel.

Winchs 3 vitesses
Faites des tours morts autour de la poupée et, pour les winchs
self-tailing, insérez le dernier tour dans les mâchoires du
self-tailing. Insérez la manivelle dans la douille. Pour engager la
première vitesse, appuyez sur le bouton situé à côté de la douille
de manivelle et tournez celle-ci dans le sens indiqué dans le
tableau. Tournez la manivelle dans le sens opposé pour
sélectionner automatiquement les vitesses suivantes.
RADIAL Winch – motorisé
Winchs self-tailing 2 vitesses (40-46-50-60-70-80):
Faites des tours morts autour de la poupée et insérez le dernier
tour dans les mâchoires du self-tailing. Pour activer la première
vitesse, appuyez sur le bouton de première vitesse sur le pont.
Pour la seconde vitesse, appuyez sur le second bouton.
Winchs self-tailing 3 vitesses (60-70-80):
Faites des tours morts autour de la poupée et insérez le dernier
tour dans les mâchoires du self-tailing. Pour activer la première
vitesse, appuyez sur le bouton à côté de la douille de la manivelle
(P) et sur le bouton correspondant sur le pont (1-3). Pour activer
la deuxième vitesse appuyez sur le deuxième bouton sur le pont
(2). Pour la troisième vitesse appuyez à nouveau sur le premier
bouton (1-3). Voir figure 1
Sur tous les Winchs motorisés, il est possible de déconnecter le
moteur automatiquement en insérant la manivelle dans la
douille, ce qui empêche le winch et la manivelle de tourner en cas
d'activation accidentelle du bouton de commande
ATTENTION! Pour éviter les accidents, lisez
attentivement, assimilez complètement et respectez
scrupuleusement toutes les mises en garde et les
instructions générales disponibles dans le Catalogue
Harken® et via le site Internet www.harken.com
ATTENTION! L'utilisation des winchs nécessite le respect
de quelques précautions importantes:
• N'utilisez pas les winchs Harken® si vous n'êtes pas
suffisamment entraîné et expérimenté à la pratique de la voile en
général et à l'utilisation de ces produits en particulier.
• Tenez les doigts, les mains, tout vêtement ample, gants et
outils, à distance de toute pièce en mouvement et évitez en
particulier qu'ils s’intercalent entre le cordage et le winch.
• Avant de manœuvrer les winchs assurez-vous que rien ni
personne n'est dans la zone de mouvement des composants du
système qui doivent y réagir.
• Soyez particulièrement prudent lors de la libération d'un
cordage sous tension.
• Rangez la manivelle en lieu sûr lorsque le winch n'est pas
utilisé.

Charges de travail
ATTENTION! Ne jamais appliquer une contrainte
supérieure à la charge de travail maximale MWL
(Maximum Working Load) du winch.
Compatibilité des cordages
Les mâchoires des winchs self-tailing Harken® sont montées
sur des ressorts qui en règlent automatiquement l'écartement en
fonction du diamètre du cordage utilisé:
ATTENTION! Respectez scrupuleusement les limites de
diamètre de cordage indiquées ci-dessus. Prohibez
l'emploi des winchs pour les câbles métalliques, la chaîne
ou les cordages non homologués pour les applications
marines.

UTILISATIONS AUTORISÉES
Les winchs Harken® sont conçus et fabriqués pour être utilisés
