5. Receiving & Unpacking
5.1
Single Rotisserie
1. Using tin snips or a similar cutting tool, cut the metal packing
straps. Care should be taken as the straps are under tension and
may snap when cut.
2. Remove all wrapping from the rotisserie. Care should be taken
not to scratch any surfaces if a knife is being used.
3. Remove all accessories and loose items from in and around the
equipment and place them aside.
4. Remove any wood blocks around the feet or (optional) casters that
might hinder rolling the rotisserie
forward
off of the pallet as shown
in Figure 5-2. Do not remove the indicated wooden rails.
MOVING THE ROTISSERIE OFF THE PALLET REQUIRES
A 4 PERSON TEAM AS THE WEIGHT OF THE UNIT IS
AROUND 425 LBS.
CARE MUST BE TAKEN NOT TO OVER EXERT
PRESSURE ON THE DOOR GLASS WHEN HANDLING
THE ROTISSERIE.
5. Unlock the casters and carefully roll the unit to the edge of the
pallet.
6. In 3 stages; gently lift and lower the first set of legs onto the floor,
roll the unit forward, then carefully lift and lower the back legs
onto the floor. See Figure 5-3.
7. Inspect the rotisserie for any remaining plastic left over from the
manufacturing and packing process and remove if found. Be
sure to remove the protective foam blocks from the glass doors
as well as the plastic tie wrap that is securing the drive unit in its
socket. See Figure 5-4.
8. Position the rotisserie in its intended operation area and lock the
front casters if applicable.
9. Verify that the rotisserie is level from front to back and side to
side. Raise or lower the feet or casters to level the unit if
necessary as shown in Figure 5-5 on page11.

For simplicity, dismounting the rotisserie off the pallet is explained
using the (optional) casters. If the unit does not have casters, the
unit will need to be carefully lifted, not dragged off the pallet.
