You will need the manual for the safety warnings and precautions, assembly instructions,
operating and maintenance procedures, parts list and diagram. Keep your invoice with this
manual. Write the invoice number on the inside of the front cover. Keep the manual and
invoice in a safe and dry place for future reference.
Safety Warnings and Precautions
WARNING: When using tool, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to equipment.
1.
Read and understand all the safety precautions in the router operator’s manual
.
2.
Observe work area conditions
. Do not use machines or power tools in damp or wet
locations. Don’t expose to rain. Keep work area well lighted. Do not use electrically
powered tools in the presence of flammable gases or liquids.
3.
Keep children away
. Children must never be allowed in the work area. Do not let
them handle machines, tools, or extension cords.
4.
Use eye and ear protection
. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles.
Wear a full face shield if you are producing metal filings or wood chips. Wear an ANSI
approved dust mask or respirator when working around metal, wood, and chemical
dusts and mists.
Assembly
1.
Place the Table Guide Fence on the Table Top (not included SKU #46496) as shown
below (left).
2.
Align the Wood Clamps (6) under the Table Top as shown below (right).
The fence should located approximately over the router bit, once the router is installed
below the Table Top.
3.
Securely tighten the Screw Handle (8).
4.
To make fine adjustments of the fence, loosen Handle (18), loosen Screws (19) (using
Wrench #29) then turn the Adjusting Hand Wheel (17). Use the fence scales for exact
measurement. Do this for each side of the fence. Tighten Handle (18), and Screws
(19), using Wrench #29, when finished.
5.
Make a test cut with the router on a scape of wood to verify that the settings are correct.
Attach a vaccum bag or hose to the Dust Collector (24).
