Operation
Warning!
Do not put the Purity Pen in boiling water, dirty water,
or solvents. Keep the tip clean and do not touch the tip other
than cleaning it with a clean, lint free cloth. Do not knock, twist
or pull the detector terminal. Do not short-circuit the two termi-
nals of the detector; damage to the Test Pen could occur.
Note:
When this manual refers to “pure” water, it is referring to
distilled water which the Purity Pen indicates at a value of 60 or
below.
Note:
Do not use a metal container to test water. Only test a
sample once, using only one Purity Pen. Failure to heed these
warnings will cause innacurate test results.
Note:
To insure test precision, the temperature of the water to
be tested should be the same as the ambient temperature. Make
sure the detector is clean, and do not touch the detector. A
glass of water should only be tested one time. Use another
glass of water if another test is needed.
