Turn engine switch to ON.

Turn engine fuel valve to ON.

Engage engine choke.

Pull-start engine. 

 

Operating the Roller 

1.

 

Release the park brake. Be sure the engine choke is not engaged when 
operating the roller. 

 

2.

 

Push the control lever slowly in the desired direction and the roller will 
start to move. 

 

3.

 

Slowly increase speed to prevent front roller from pulling tennis court 
surface material.  

 

4.

 

Continue to push lever in the desired direction until desired speed is 
reached. For optimal use of the unit, you do not need to operate throttle at 
highest level. A mid-range level is recommended.

 

 
Slowing and Stopping the Roller 

1.

 

To slow roller, move the forward/reverse lever toward NEUTRAL. 

 

2.

 

To stop the roller, move the forward/reverse lever directly to NEUTRAL. 

 

Parking and Leaving the Roller 

1.

 

After stopping the roller, set the brake before leaving the machine. 

 

2.

 

Turn the engine ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.

After reading the instructions and familiarizing yourself with the controls, take 
the roller for a test drive.  Use the following list as a guide to check your new 
roller.  Any problems should be corrected before operating the roller. 
 

 

Park Brake – When engaged and latched, the roller should be unable 
to move. 

 

 

Emergency Shut Off Switch – While engine is operating, push down 
on emergency shut off button to ensure engine stops. 

 

 

Emergency Seat Switch – While engine is operating and transmission 
is slightly engaged, slightly raise your body off the seat to ensure 
motor stops if operator leaves the seat while transmission is in gear.
