The attention statement indicates conditions and actions that may cause

CAT I (1000V)
IEC measurement Category I. The maximum measurable voltage of the
Hi-Lo terminal is 1000 Vpk.
CAT II (300V)
IEC measurement Category II. In case of Category II overvoltage, the
input may be connected to the power mains (up to 300 VAC).
