Requirements for safe
operation
– You have read chapter “For your safety” on
page GB-4 and understand all the safety
notices.
– The exhaust hood is assembled as de-
scribed in chapter “Montage” on page
GB-11.
Fan
The fan (13) has three settings: slow,
medium and fast.
• To select the desired fan setting, push the
corresponding button.
It will light up.
• To switch off the fan, press the same but-
ton again.
The light will go out.
Lighting
Your exhaust hood is equipped with two LED
lights. The lighting can be switched on or off
independently of the fans.
• To switch the lighting on or off, press
the button (14).
Activated charcoal filter
• When using the appliance for air circula-
tion, only do so with activated charcoal
filters inserted.
• If neighbours complain about odours, it
may be a good idea to insert activated
charcoal filters for exhaust air operation,
too.
• For the source of supply, please see
chapter “Our Service Centre” on page
GB-20.
• To insert see “Inserting/replacing activat-
ed charcoal filters” on page GB-17.
Tips on saving energy
– Only switch on the fan when needed; oth-
erwise, energy will be wasted.
– Let the fan run as long as cooking fumes
or steam are present.
– The fan is not needed when cooking only
briefly or warming up foods that have lit-
tle or no odour.
– Ensure that there is enough supply air; oth-
erwise, the exhaust hood may not function
optimally. If necessary, open the window or
kitchen door.
– Clean grease filters (16) regularly.
